I really didn't know about trees migrating to avoid danger, that is amazing!
Sadly it sounds like their speed of migrating is much slower than the speed of the effects of climate change though. š
Julie Brooks-Girskiene For me was the unknown fact - to call backup. An each day we can learn a new fact about trees and nature in general, which can be just simple fascinating!
Piri I learned 6 by reading this so I am good for a week nearly.
I am sure that a lot more things in nature can communicate than we think about. Not always in the way that we think about communicating but passing messages to and from each other for sure.
Arvīds I think that's true, we just need to think about communicating in a wider way. The ft that something doesn't speak doesn't mean it doesn't communicate, there is also scent and chemicals and other audible languages that we just don't understand.
John Exactly. We also communicate in non verbal ways, like smells that we not consciously notice.
The idea of calling the predator of something that is attacking or eating you is really smart. I'm wondering if there is anything in the animal world that does something like this or if it just trees, or maybe other plants?
Skylar I'm wondering if there is anything in the animal world that does something like this
It would be too slow probably. If an animal is being attacked by another animal then probably it is dead by the time something else comes along to join in the battle.
