Well I am quite a selfish person perhaps, so I am not sure if I would be willing to give up something just because it is eco friendly thing to do. I believe the way to sustainability should be practical.
I should admit that choosing sustainable items sometimes are more expensive ( the cost of making it is usually higher) so I do look for the best solution, make sure it is not greenwashing, and it takes more time.
I am quite a conscious shopper and don't buy things if there is no need for it. Maybe before buying gifts didn't think so much if they will be used and really practical, but now I became better at it. It might sound a bit strange, but the last present that I bought for someone was sustainable toilet paper!
Possibly when will move back to Lithuania will try to use less tropical fruits and to look for alternatives.
