I love solid shampoo!!! ๐
My friendship with it started with Lush and they are great, fresh, well made, zero packaging, but not always so ethical around the world and some ingredients are questionable.
If you would like the recommendation of a brand so they great ones from the sustainability aspects: Ethiqueโs & byHumankind.
I tried Lithuanian brand Solidu (was not the best personally) aswell Jolu (was great, just it always comes in a tin), Faith In Nature.
And now we buy locally from the places we are from eco markets, trying to look for organic ingredients.
There are lots of companies, smaller and bigger ones, it might be completely unsustainable and it might be great. It might be a bit pricey, but according my counting we spend less even we buy better quality.
The conditioner usually coconut base and in some cases it useful to have it if you don't use any oils after, because some shampoos might make your hair a bit dryer.
As well there are some all in shampoos so it is for body wash&hair together, but so never tried any.
We like it, it much less waste, can be zero waste, there are super eco options, less mess, less space, no leaks ๐ฟ๐
We carry them around in aluminium tin, but it might be any kind of soap tin.
