I thought it might be nice to have a thread for us to just chat about some off-topic things like the weather, games, or TV shows that we're currently watching. Anyone doing anything exciting this week?

Nice idea, thanks @Ash I'm going to start off about the weather… it's currently raining hard here, thunder and lightning, and there is a flood warning in place. This week I am dog sitting for a friend. So, to start with I have to take him out for a walk sometime very soon in this rain so he can do his business, and then deal with wet dog, but also I just discovered that he really does not like thunder! Apart from the dog sitting, nothing very interesting planned for the week, sadly.

Other than the flood, that actually sounds like weather that I would love. We had a brief period over here where we got a lot of rain but not much thunder or lightning. We never really get a proper thunderstorm over here in the UK, well London anyway.

Julie Brooks-Girskiene The dog and the flood part don't sound much fun at all, but I agree with @Ash , I love a good thunderstorm. When I was a kid we had a dog who was terrified of thunder, she would sit under the table and pee a little bit every time there was a thunderclap.

What I would do to just have a thunderstorm for one day. Even the heavy rain that we get over here in my area of the UK doesn't last that long. Do we have any Marvel fans here by the way?

Our friends dog does that with fireworks, 4th July is not a good time for them. Ash What I would do to just have a thunderstorm for one day. My favourite thing about storms is how clean and fresh everything feels afterwards.

Always helpful in terms of keeping the car clean as well. It's not like a proper wash but it means I don't have to bother cleaning it for another day or two.

Today I broke my toe dropping a brick on it and spent about two hours waiting at the ER because it was 'not urgent'. The rest of the week has been pretty normal.

That's not great, hopefully, you recover quickly. Just one more day left of my holiday which is quite sad. It will be nice to get back to work but I wouldn't mind some more time off 😁

John Confident, I see. I think it will be a pretty close game as well especially since both teams aren't exactly on top form in terms of scoring goals. I do predict a lovely red card at some point as well.
