Ash I have no idea what it's called but over here in the Indian restaurants, with certain dishes, you get a sort of yoghurt sauce/dip to help with the spiciness.
That would be raita, I've just posted a recipe here: https://talk.ekodiena.com/d/308-thursday-kitchen-recipes-ect/38
John Yeah, that's the one. Very nice and cooling when you have it with a spicy biriyani. Thanks for sharing the recipe, I'll have to try it some time 🙂
💚 it!
For sure people should have the choice of what they are allowed to eat, but the more plant based suggestions then the better.
Can we get a cheap group booking to go and eat 🥕 🍅 🍆 🍛 ?
Skylar Can we get a cheap group booking to go and eat 🥕 🍅 🍆 🍛 ?
Hahaha, not sure how that would work out with a forum group of people from different parts of the world all trying to get on the same group tour of an Indian city. Messy!
Piri I've been to a few but unfortunately, we just don't have one near enough to visit regularly which is a shame. It's always amazing to get some authentic Chinese products at reasonable prices.
Piri it is out of topic but I love Asian food stores
I ❤️ Asian food stores and supermarkets. Especially the fruit and vegetable section with all of the scary strange looking produce that you have no idea what it is.

Ah, like the mighty Durian 🙂
John Ah, like the mighty Durian 🙂
Yes, just like that!
Is that the one that stinks and they say that you should always cut and eat outside?
Does it taste good or does it taste as bad as the smell?

It is!!!!!
Such an "innocent" looking fruit that you would worry about by looking at it. I'm sure a few people have accidentally bought it without knowing about the smell 😆
Ash I'm sure a few people have accidentally bought it without knowing about the smell
I know someone who would probably do that, who likes to buy things that look "unusual" or "interesting" without actually knowing what they are, right @Stasys-Girskis ?
Kyllikki Does it taste good or does it taste as bad as the smell?
There is no a middle ground, you like it or you don't! 😁

Like politics 🙂
Kyllikki Or blue cheese.
John Or blue cheese
Not for me really, I do not like to put anything that smells bad in my mouth.

😁😁😁 Well it is quite easy to take it instead of jackfruit I guess.
Yes, because that is how you discover the amazing new things that will become the ones you love.
Stasys-Girskis Or more often not 😉

That depends on who is creating them.
Maybe there is something similar in Europe or.states? Maybe a small village?

In the States I don't think you are going to find anything bigger than one house where people agree to not eat meat!
We eat more than anywhere else in the world by a big margin and I don't see that changing too much too quickly.
