A bit of Covid

Hi everyone,

I haven't been online much recently because I have had a bit of the dreaded Covid, but I'm feeling a bit better and hope to catch up a bit now!

I am fully vaccinated but still it got me and while I haven't been too bad, not hospitalized or anything, but I have been really rundown with flu like symptoms and muscle pains.

Anybody else had it, and how badly did it affect you?

Vaccination can't ensure 100% protection… but in case of COVID helped to minimise symptoms.

Once we thought we have it because felted similar symptoms like flu, massive bones pain, tiredness, ect.

Glad to hear that you're already feeling better. As far as I'm aware, I still haven't had it (touch wood). I probably did but I would have been asymptomatic.

I really need to get my hands on an anti-body test so I can find out if I previously had it or not.

But if you have a vaccine it will show anyway if I am right.

Piri Didn't think of that. That would make sense I guess. I guess I'll never find out if I had COVID before or not then 😅

Sorry you were feeling crappy @Julie Brooks-Girskiene but glad you are in better shape now, we missed you!

I think the total number of people who have had Covid is probably much higher than reported anywhere, because as Piri and Ash said a lot of people often wouldn't have been tested if they didn't have symptoms, or only had mild ones.

Ash Actualy it is still good to make.the test so you know the situation now 🙂 some people wait a bit longer with the third (or the second) extra shot if they make this test, or.hurry up to get it!

I'm not looking forward to the booster. I managed to get past the first two doses without any pain/effects. But everyone that has got the booster that I know have not felt great for around 2 days 😫

That seems strange, surely it's exactly the same vaccine and the body should already be more used to it.

Unless they are getting a booster with one of the other vaccines, which I have heard recommended by some health experts.

Julie Brooks-Girskiene As in they got the second jab and the booster at the same time? I don't think the UK is doing that but it would be interesting to find out about that.

Got my booster a few days ago and did not have any issues. Just a bit of a sore arm like the first and second jab. Other than that, I was fine.

Sorry to hear you were ill @Julie Brooks-Girskiene but hope that you are in better shape now.

My colleague at work has it and so we all have to isolate, I feel completely ok but maybe I have it, I didn't take a test yet.
