I just read a really interesting article on the BBC about the rise in number of adverts that are being banned because they make false claims and promises about the environment and climate change.
I didn't know that so many companies were ready to just jump in and make big misleading claims about hos sustainable they are.
The fines and punishments aren't big enough so they think it's worth it to create a misleading ad and hopefully get the attention of a few people. Chances are, those people aren't aware that they are taken down for being misleading.

It is very hard to know what companies are actually being as green as they say and most people just don't have the time or the desire to look too deeply.
