Fastest growing EV market in the EU in 2020

It's true, if you look at a map of the electric recharging points across Europe, Lithuania and Poland were kind of black holes or a while and Latvia is really well covered.

I've just looked for the first time in a while though and Lithuania actually has a lot more of them popping up recently and not just in the biggest cities but along the highways and in some smaller towns too.

In some places in Lithuania you can charge your car without any fee and the infrastructure for sure improved in the last couple years. But still is quite behind so it slows down people to choose electric cars especially in the rural areas and they use cars much more than most of the cities residents.

That's great but now all that we need is that the cars become cheap enough for most people to afford.

My parents just bought a new car and they paid about €17000. There is no electric car that they could buy for a price even close to that and they simply could just not afford to pay more.

That's true... Most of the people can't afford it, even if in the long term it would save money...

That is true and it is the biggest problem.

But they are getting cheaper, my friend was just looking for the cheapest ones and if you just want a small car then you can buy a Skoda Citigo-e or a Seat e-Mii for less than €20,000.

Maybe not in every country and every place but those are EU prices and they should just get more and more available.

It is quite good for the city, the battery capacity is quite low.

Really curious why Lithuania is so behind with this compared to the others.

Žaklīna the lack of infrastructure is a big factor, if you live in rural are it is not practical. Another factor personal economy. The low battery capacity is great for cities and is cheaper, but higher capacity battery might get very pricey.
