Well actually…. I just got curious and did a bit of a search, and a lot of small planes do have wings that are largely made of composite plastics, and when it comes to bigger ones:
'The Boeing 787 Dreamliner's fuselage is made from carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), in barrel sections that are joined together. The Airbus A350 uses CFRP panels attached to a traditional aluminum frame. CFRP is much stronger than traditional aluminum and lighter, and won't corrode.'
