🌱 🐖Vegan bacon (facon)
Well I am not sure we should call it bacon as it is not, but kind of looks a bit like it and we like to name vegan alternatives the same titles as the original 🙂
So this is a simple way to make at home an alternative to bacon 🥓 oh it will be much cheaper than a real bacon 😁 and can be used not just like morning bacon, but as well goes well with some vegan dips 🥑
Ingredients:
- Rice paper (rice sheets)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tbsp tomato pasta
- 1 tap garlic powder (or 2 cloves of garlic)
- Salt
- Could be added a bit of 🌶️
The process:
Mix all of the ingredients in the bowl except the rice paper.
Cut the rice paper into the bacon shape pieces.
Put the rice pieces into the water and after dip into the sauce. Put on the baking sheet.
Oven should be around 170°C. Baking about 5-7 minutes until it will be nice brown and crispy. Take a look on them because they might burn easily.
