We are going to be moving later on this year to a new country, and it's just not practical to pay a huge amount of money to ship our old car halfway across the world, so we will need to buy a new one when we get there.
I'd like to buy something as sustainable as possible, but there are a few things to think about...
- We are not rich, so can't afford to spend huge amounts on a new car.
- We do not want to replace it our car after a few years, we will keep it for a long time.
- I'd like it to be as sustainable as possible.
- It needs to be able to drive for a sensible distance and then be refuelled quickly, not like 100 miles and then charge for 3 hours or something.
So, the two options seem to be electric (battery) or hydrogen and one is clearly much more popular than the other.
Why do people buy electric cars and not hydrogen ones, is it the price, the infrastructure, or something else?
