I like coffee a lot and I drink a lot of it, but I read some statistics about how unsustainable it is this morning.
Coffee production uses a lot of water and then can contaminate streams and rivers, I knew already about this part, but as well it seems to have a high C02 footprint. 15.33 kg of carbon dioxide per 1 kg of green coffee.
That is just the coffee, then if you add dairy milk it also adds a lot more, plant milk also adds but less.
I think about how can I make my coffee habit better for the earth, is there a good alternative to real coffee, is there more sustainably grown coffee, what milk can I change to that tastes good but will have the most little impact?
Do you drink a lot of coffee and what do you feel about the above?
